The Freeland Systems team has attended two conferences so far in 2014 to learn about the latest industry trends, technology, and practices.
NORTH AMERICAN VETERINARY CONFERENCE
The North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC) is the world’s largest veterinary conference. It is attended by veterinarians, veterinary technicians, practice managers, and vendors. The conference consists of guest speakers, classes, labs, and exhibits. New ideas from leaders in veterinary medicine and practice management are presented, and the scope covers every animal species.
This year the conference was held in Orlando, Florida, from January 18-22. There were over 16,000 attendees from over 70 countries. In addition, there were over 4,000 exhibits displaying product and technology advances to elevate veterinary practices.
STATE-OF-THE-ART ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
The State-of-the-Art Echocardiography conference is the leading educational conference for cardiovascular ultrasound organized by the American Society for Echocardiography (ASE). It is designed for adult and pediatric cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, anesthesiologists, radiologists, nurses, and sonographers. Topics include quantitative echocardiography, valvular and ischemic heart disease, stress/contrast echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), diastology, physiological disease management, and myopericardial diseases.
This year the 27th Annual conference was held in Scottsdale, Arizona, from February 14-18. The program included learning laboratories, maintenance certifications, a special symposium on valvular heart disease, new advancements in echo technology such as strain images, and many case studies.
